Oh, and another thing.... Iran's has a nutcase President. We have a fascist foreign minister. BOTH of them run around saying vile and hateful things. So how come Iran's diplomats are now getting invited to barbeques, while we are getting slammed for being not nice?

If I start running around saying vile and hateful things, will you invite me to a barbeque? Please? I like barbeques.

Right--time for me to go to sleep.

Hi Gila, came over here from Mish's blog. :-)

BBQs are overrated. Well... Unless it involved roasting terrorists, then it's awesome. ;-)

As an American, I cannot convey to you how disgusted I am with my country now. I did not vote for this assball douche monkey and do not accept him as my president. His unfounded goodwill towards Israel's enemies is extraordinarily naive and dangerous.

And as an evangelical Christian, I believe in Israel's sovereignty as a Jewish nation and pray for the safety of the Jews and the peace of Jerusalem as the Bible instructs us to do. As much as the world might stand against you, know that there are many of us who stand with you. You are not alone.

Watching Obama's arrogant call to uproot the Jewish settlements, I pray that it is his presidency that ends up being uprooted instead.

I'm not a fan of Lieberman, but it is not really accurate to label him a fascist.

And to compare him to that other fella' is just not right. They are not even on the same planet.

(I hate having to defend politicians I do not support....)

Lincoln - I guess you don't really get this whole 'democracy' thing, do you? Obama is doing exactly what he said he would do during the campaign, that's what people voted on.
I was appalled by Bush but recognized that he was the choice of the people - especially the second time around when the people had plenty of information available showing how mendacious he was, and they voted for him anyway.

Cyberdov,

I guess you don't really get that it's a republic, not a democracy? Schmuckhead.

Even then, check the polls. While most people appear to like the man, the vast majority do not approve of his policies, and that includes closing Guantanamo Bay. Americans are stupid and ill-informed, what can I say.

Obama bought the Presidency, plain and simple. I wonder how much Iran contributed to his campaign, considering the rampant ass-licking tour he's been doing to smooth over ties with nations that have this thing where they want to kill as many Jews as possible.

Wake up and smell what you shovelin'.

Gila--the simple answer is that the world is afraid of Ahmadinijhad and they're not afraid of Leiberman. They grovel to the guy they're most afraid of.

Well, I'm still embracing optimism. I hope Bibi won't cave, and I don't think dinnerjacket will make good. Neither will the norks. I pray this will, in the end, come out for the best.

Aliyah06, I can assure you - I'm afraid of Lieberman. After all, he's the one who wanted to bomb the dam on the nile to drown Cairo.
And I can't swim.
